Life is full of exciting opportunities, but for many of us, fear gets in the way. Fear can stop us from doing things we really want to do—whether it’s trying something new, facing challenges, or going after our goals. I know this because when I started my business, Abide, I had to face many fears myself. But here’s the good news: you can overcome fear and turn it into a powerful tool that helps you grow. Let me show you how to overcome fear, and how to embrace the new opportunities that come your way.

Why We Feel Fear and How to Deal With It?
Fear is something everyone experiences. It’s a natural reaction to something new or unknown. But sometimes, fear can hold us back. It can stop us from doing what we love or going after what we want. When I started Abide, I was afraid I would fail or not be good enough. To overcome fear, the first thing you need to do is recognize it. When you face your fear and decide to move through it instead of running from it, you start to feel more in control.

How to Overcome Fear: Simple Steps You Can Try
There are a few simple steps that helped me overcome fear, and I believe they can work for you too. These are easy to practice, and the more you do them, the stronger you’ll become.

  1. Change How You Think About Fear
When we feel fear, we often think of it as a bad thing. But what if we changed our view of fear? Instead of seeing it as something that holds us back, try thinking of it as something that helps you grow. Every time you feel scared, it’s an opportunity to learn and push yourself forward. This change in mindset makes it easier to move past your fears.
  1. Take Small Steps
Sometimes fear feels overwhelming because we think we have to take big leaps right away. But that’s not true! Start small. For example, when I first started my business, I didn’t try to do everything at once.
  1. Stay Focused on the Present
Fear often comes from thinking about the future and wondering what might go wrong. We think about all the “what ifs”—but you only have control over what’s happening right now. I’ve learned that by focusing on the present moment, I can reduce fear. It’s easier to handle things one step at a time, and it helps take the pressure off.

How to Live the Grace Life: Trust and Grow Through Fear?
Living a grace-filled life means accepting yourself just as you are—flaws and all—and trusting that things will work out. For me, starting Abide was full of fear, but I also had to trust that everything I was doing was meant to happen. When you live with grace, you understand that fear is just a part of your journey, and it doesn’t define you.
